This family of four, including an infant, from Wattala live under very poor conditions. On rainy days their house gets flooded sometimes up to three feet of contaminated water from the surrounding paddy fields. Their house cannot be reconstructed since it’s built on Paddy land.
our plan was to upgrade their living conditions So we donated them a steel wardrobe, a kitchen rack and a plate rack. Also because they are in debt, we will be helping them with a home pack worth Rs.5000 which includes provisions, sanitary aid etc…for six months with an agreement that they pay off their debt within this period.
