A family of five struggled to meet their daily requirements with the meagre wage of the father, the sole breadwinner, a fisherman who earns around Rs.300 to Rs.600 per day, depending on the catch.
With a monthly electricity bill of Rs.300, in addition to other expenses, they also have to buy drinking water bottles priced at Rs.50 each, while having to walk a distance of 2 km for water for other purposes.
To ease their burden, and to provide a better life for this family of three little daughters and their parents, we requested funds to build them a well, granting them a clean and less limited water supply without them having to walk long distances, or spend the money of an already small sum!
