An example of one who beats all odds to pursue her dream, this girl is a civil engineering student with an estranged father who refuses to pay for her expenses and a sick mother who works as a chef at a hotel while also taking on orders to pay for her daughter’s educational expenses.
Struggling from a lack of resources including a laptop to complete her assignments and for other study-related work, this young girl even sought part-time jobs to help support her mother and herself. With very meagre income, they strived to pay for her education, transport and mother’s medical expenses, while having to deal with relatives pressuring her to stop continuing with her studies.
We at Carestation were made aware of this perseverant girl and set up a monthly fund to pay for her expenses. We also managed to provide her with a laptop costing over RS. 60, 000 so she could continue with her studies.
