Supporting his family of his wife and two young children aged 10 and 12, he made meagre daily wages by selling dry fish. With no water source in the immediate vicinity, the whole family often had to take trips in a three-wheeler to his mother’s home, to have baths and return with cans of water for other necessities, while they also had to buy water cans for drinking. To save up as much money as possible, he even used to collect rainwater in a barrel and store it for later use.
We at Carestation, having identified the plight of this family, constructed a well for them to serve as a source of water for all their daily needs. The ability to help make smiles and ease burdens, is indeed its own reward!
