A 66-year-old man worked as a laborer at a bakery, trying to support his wife and 19-year-old daughter while she pursued her Advanced Level studies. Being the sole breadwinner of the family, while earning a meagre income, was challenging enough. In addition, they faced a lack of electricity and water facilities in their home. The family had to go to the home of the older daughter to access water for their daily needs.
As a desperate measure, they had dug a hole near their house to collect rainwater during the wet season. However, this supply would inevitably dry up during the dry season.
In an effort to provide a long-term, viable solution to their struggles, Carestation built a well, granting the family easy access to water.
