Our co-ordinators at Carestation met with faith-based leaders in Morawawe area and with the support of relevant officers, and personally visiting the families who would benefit from the wells initiated the construction work. Having heard of their plight, we were quick to obtain all the required official permission, and with the support of kind donors, we completed the construction of all three wells in less than two weeks, and have now opened them to the public!
We will always remember and be so grateful for the sheer joy in their eyes as they saw the first trickle of water, while digging for the wells.
We would once again like to thank all the donors who contributed to this noble cause, and helped make a massive difference in the quality of the lives of the people of Namalwatte.
Each well cost approximately 250,000 LKR, and we are so beyond grateful to everyone of you who donated to this noble cause!
