Before receiving CareStation’s livelihood support, Laila earned just Rs. 500–700 per week, reselling products for a small profit of Rs. 20 40 per item.

Today, she purchases her own stock wholesale and earns Rs. 3,500 or more per week. The smartphone provided through the project has also helped her create a WhatsApp customer group, advertise her products and grow her home-based business.

Her income now contributes towards household expenses, medication, her daughter’s transport and caring for her elderly mother. From earning small commissions to running a growing business of her own, Laila’s journey reflects what sustainable livelihood support is about creating opportunities for families to build greater financial independence and long term stability.
