Sri Lanka is currently rhe second highest in child malnutrition in South Asia. With the country’s economic crisis, those numbers are only growing, and more children are left to starve as their families struggle to put food on the table.
A school in Kandy, attended by little children coming from extremely poverty-stricken families. We at Carestation have been providing breakfast and lunch for 150 children, each day for the past two months and, often, the only times they are fed for the day, are when they receive these schoolmeals.
We cannot be content with a society where children have to starve because they are too poor not to.
