#CS243 Wheels of Hope – Orphanage in Vavuniya

We successfully completed the Wheels of Hope fundraiser for the children at The Bright Child Development Center in Vavuniya. Thanks to the generosity and compassion of our donors, we raised enough funds to provide 10 new bicycles for the children at this orphanage . This bicycle comes fully equipped with a front basket to carry their school bags, a rear seat for younger siblings or friends, and a built-in light bulb for those attending evening classes.

The children’s relief and happiness upon receiving their bicycles were evident. Their smiles lit up the room as they realized the newfound freedom and ease that these bicycles would bring to their daily journeys to and from school. No longer will they have to endure the scorching sun and the 4km walk daily to school and skip school due to exhaustion every other day. Instead, they will travel with joy and excitement, ready to make the most of their education and childhood.
