At the age of 50, having to look after her widowed mother and lacking a permanent source of income, she found herself in a helpless situation in the face of financial challenges. With the help of her neighbours and relatives, they were able to manage their daily meal. Yet, her earnings from selling lunch packets were insufficient to meet her household expenses and monthly rental payments for their house.
CareStation stepped in to help settle her utility bills and rental arrears. In recognising her self-employment needs, we assisted her by allocating funds for the purchasing of additional utensils to better equip her to manage her business.
The support provided by CareStation was instrumental in significantly improving her business operations, and she is optimistic about sustaining this growth. She is now receiving daily orders, which she estimates to have doubled compared to the orders she had been previously receiving. She also admits that her ability to handle orders has also improved substantially. The positive impact of our support is also seen in the fact that she is now able to manage her household expenses without any issues.
