With a pandemic and an economic crisis in the country, the past year has not been easy for many in this country. The poor became poorer, losing their jobs and any sense of financial stability. The increase in prices of essential items has only worsened living conditions, forcing so many to compromise on so much, just to get by.

The dawning of the new school year in January meant an additional series of expenses to be spent on books, and other school necessities — essentials which less privileged schoolchildren would have to go without, in the light of so many new expenses their parents were trying hard to cover.

We at Carestation decided to help aid these schoolchildren and ease the financial burden on their families, by providing them with Back To School Packs, inclusive of school necessities. We were so gratified to see the smiles on the faces of the children who received their Back To School packs, and on their behalf, we are so grateful to all those of you who contributed to the success of this venture!
