Our team was steadfast and full of purpose yesterday. We set out to paint the walls of the newly built hospital for the differently abled children which is soon to be opened in Ragama. It is the country’s first National Centre for Children with Disabilities.
Coming full circle to our mission our purpose was to brighten the lives of the patients, medical staffs, and families. Noble, yet simple; we yearn to lift the spirits of the patients and make a lasting difference. We were true to the mission – art has the power to love and comfort. Together, we accomplished what we set out to do. . one brushstroke at a time.
We were told that over 3500 children have been registered and many travel from far flung corners of the country to receive treatment. We at Carestation intend to continue with this project by collaborating with the doctors and the staff,identify and support the children who face financial barriers to receiving needed care.
